Experienced Fence Installer
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fence Installer to join us. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality fencing projects across domestic, agricultural, and commercial settings.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of fencing systems while ensuring excellent workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction on every job. This role will also include occasional farm help duties.
Key Duties
- Install a variety of fencing products, including timber, concrete, metal, stock, and mesh fencing.
- Set out and prepare sites, ensuring fence lines are measured and positioned accurately.
- Carry out fence repairs, replacements, and maintenance work as required.
- Use hand-held and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Liaise with customers on-site to understand project requirements and provide professional advice when needed.
- Work in accordance with health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Keep vehicles, tools, and work areas clean, organised, and presentable.
- Adhoc farm duties to be discussed at interview.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a lead fencing role.
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Competent in the use of fencing tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Ability to set posts, line, level, and plumb fencing accurately.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to site conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- MUST have own transport to get to our rural base. You will not be required to use your own vehicle to and from jobs, we have a work vehicle.
Desirable
- Valid CSCS card.
- Experience with tactor mounted post banger is an advantage
- Valid Chainsaw Certificate
This is a self-employed position and pay will depend on experience and ability.
