Position: Back of House Servant (Housekeeper)

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Location: Lympne Castle, Hythe

Job description: As part of the Housekeeping team you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness throughout Lympne Castle.

Responsibilities:

· Clean and maintain orderliness in various areas of the castle interior and exterior premises, including cottages, houses, bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, food and beverage outlets, ceremonial and event spaces.

· Laundry, ironing, steaming.

· Stocking and inventory of guest areas, cleaning supplies and linens.

· Adhere to health and safety standards in accordance with castle regulations and industry best practices.

This is a 7-day /week hospitality operation. As such, weekend and evening work will be required.

To be considered, the following criteria need to be met:

Minimum of 6 months of experience in housekeeping or a related field;
Knowledge of efficient and effective cleaning techniques, products and equipment;
Self-motivated and disciplined;
Solutions-oriented;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings as required;
Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects, as well as the ability to navigate stairs, variously sized spaces, and uneven ground;
Ability to stand and actively clean for long periods of time;
Have a safety-first mind set.
