Job Title: Electrical Technician
Location: Braintree
Employment Type: Permanent
Shifts: Monday- Friday 8:00 – 16:30

Benefits:

Annual Profit Share Scheme
Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate

40-hour week Monday to Friday

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, testing, fault diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of aircraft electrical and electromechanical components in a workshop environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on aerospace or aviation maintenance experience who is confident working to high technical and quality standards within a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, test, diagnose, repair, and overhaul aircraft electrical and electromechanical components
Carry out fault-finding and rectification using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and test equipment
Complete component testing in accordance with OEM, CMM, and regulatory requirements
Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed to aviation quality and safety standards
Accurately complete workshop documentation and maintenance records
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
Support continuous improvement activities within the workshop
Work collaboratively with engineers, inspectors, and other technicians to meet turnaround times and customer requirements
Comply with company procedures, EASA/CAA regulations, and health & safety requirements

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience within an aviation or aerospace workshop environment is essential
Experience repairing or overhauling aircraft electrical or electromechanical components
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
Good understanding of aviation maintenance standards and procedures
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
