Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sports / Activity Coach to join our team in Amesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging sports and activity programmes tailored to a diverse range of participants. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inspire others, promote healthy lifestyles, and develop coaching skills within a supportive environment. The position is paid and ideal for individuals passionate about sports, teaching, and youth development.

Duties

Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of sports activities and programmes suitable for different age groups and abilities.
Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to participants, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times.
Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development.
Monitor participant progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills and confidence.
Ensure all equipment is maintained, safe, and ready for use before each session.
Promote participation by engaging with community groups, schools, and local organisations.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and programme outcomes.
Adhere to health and safety regulations during all activities to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching or activity leadership.
Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to motivate and engage participants of varying ages and skill levels.
Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear instructions and positive encouragement.
Organised with the ability to plan sessions effectively while adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
Passionate about promoting healthy lifestyles and physical activity within the community.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of health & safety standards relevant to sports coaching is desirable but not essential.
