Full job description

Aston Manor is the UK’s second largest producer of take-home cider. Whether you want something classic like our Knights Vintage, refreshing like Crumpton Oaks, or sophisticated, like our multi award winning Malvern Gold, Aston Manor have a cider for everyone. We are rated AA* by the BRC in our Tiverton site, which is testament to our high-quality standards, and we place Health & Safety first in every part of our operation.

We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our Tiverton site and perform a key role in continuing to drive a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance across the business.

This is a hands-on, varied role within the Site Management Team, requiring strong organisation, adaptability, and a proactive, “can-do” approach.

Key Responsibilities

Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, identifying trends and driving improvements
Conduct site audits, inspections, and compliance checks (e.g. fire safety, PPE, drills)
Support teams with risk assessments and safe systems of work
Review contractor safety documentation and ensure on-site compliance
Maintain the H&S training matrix and deliver H&S inductions
Coordinate H&S meetings and ensure actions are completed
Manage COSHH requirements and produce monthly H&S reports

About You

Skills & Attributes

Strong communicator with a keen eye for detail
Organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Proactive team player with a positive attitude

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in a H&S or compliance role
Background in food manufacturing or other manufacturing environment
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent, NVQ Level 3+)
SAP knowledge (desirable)
