Doggy Daycare Attendant & Driver (Noah's Bark Doggy Daycare)
Location: Crystal Palace (SE19)
Salary: £14 per hour
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time (25–35 hours weekly, Monday to Friday)
Contract: 5-month initial contract (With a view to a permanent role for the perfect fit!)

What you'll be doing
- Having fun! We need a positive, passionate proactive individual who can provide physical and mental stimulation to our pups throughout the day
- Safely transport dogs to and from their homes, you will be required to assist, either as a driver or passenger, in picking up our daycare pups and dropping them off at home in our comfortable doggy daycare bus (Citroen Dispatch).
- Keeping our pups safe and happy, we have all sorts of characters at Noah's Bark, some nervous, some not so much and your job will be to make sure that they all have an awesome day
- Engaging with our customers, we provide updates to all of our pup parents throughout the day - this can be photos, videos or even just a quick text to let them know that their pup is having a great day
- Maintaining our pup space, To ensure our pups have a clean and safe space to enjoy, and that our space is always welcoming for visiting customers, you'll be a key part of our team helping to keep it in top condition. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and cleaning the dog house and grounds (including a bit of light gardening), keeping the doggy bus clean, and regularly cleaning our doggy equipment and toys. We all chip in to make this happen!

Driver progression
We invest a lot in training. You’ll start by assisting on the pup shuttle to learn our routes and safety drills. As you get up to speed, driving the doggy bus yourself will become a core part of the job. We’ll provide full vehicle-handling training so you’re 100% confident before you go solo.
Hours, Pay & Perks:
- Hours: 25–35 hours per week, scheduled between 07:00–17:30, Monday to Friday (with potential for overtime and weekend work).
- Base Pay: £14.00 per hour.
- Holiday Pay (Rolled-Up): We use a compliant rolled-up holiday pay system. You will receive an extra 12.07% uplift (£1.69 per hour) paid directly on top of your hourly rate in every paycheck, itemised separately on your payslips.
- Total Hourly Earnings: Your actual take-home rate will be £15.69 per hour (Base Pay + Holiday Pay).
- Probation: 5-week probation period to ensure you love the role and the team.
- Future Growth: We want someone long-term. If you handle the daycare and driving like a pro, we want to make you a permanent member of the pack!
- Peace of Mind: Fully compliant PAYE employment (we handle tax/NI) and a workplace pension scheme (subject to eligibility).
Requirements and experience
Don’t worry if you’ve never done this professionally before. What we really care about is finding someone with a positive attitude and a solid work ethic. If you’re a hard worker who is great with people, comfortable around dogs, and doesn’t mind getting stuck in, you’ll fit right in.
There are just a few things you definitely need:
- A full, clean UK Category B (Manual) driving licence. (Essential for driving our Citroen Dispatch; automatic-only licences unfortunately cannot be accepted).
- Great communication skills. You’re happy chatting with customers and representing the business professionally.
- Reliability. Someone the pups and their owners can truly count on to show up.
- Energy. This is an active job! You’ll be out in all weathers and on your feet.
Training we provide
We’ll make sure you have everything you need to feel confident, including:
- Dog First Aid qualification and online courses in understanding Dog Behaviour.
- Managing Group Dynamics and learning to read each pup's individual needs.
- Safeguarding and full training for transporting the pups safely.
- Content Creation: We’ll show you how to create fun "pupdates" and social media posts that our owners love. We’re also really keen to hear your own ideas - if you’ve got a creative eye for photos or videos, we want to see it!
