Overview
The Independent Living Team Leader is responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of high-quality, person-centred support within Cantraybridge's Independent Living Service.
The postholder will provide leadership, guidance and supervision to support staff, ensuring that young adults with learning disabilities and/or neurodivergent conditions receive safe, effective and outcome-focused support that promotes independence, wellbeing, choice and inclusion.
The Team Leader will support the Independent Living Manager in maintaining high standards of care, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvement across the service.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Service Delivery
· Support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services in line with organisational values and best practice.
· Promote independence, choice, dignity and inclusion for the young adults we support.
· Support individuals to achieve personal goals relating to independent living, health and wellbeing, community participation, relationships, education, volunteering and employment.
· Ensure support is delivered in accordance with individual support plans, risk assessments and agreed outcomes.
· Lead shifts and coordinate day-to-day service delivery.
Leadership and Staff Support
· Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to support staff.
· Act as a positive role model and promote professional standards at all times.
· Assist with induction, coaching and mentoring of new and existing staff.
· Undertake staff supervision and contribute to performance management processes as delegated by the Independent Living Manager.
· Identify staff development needs and contribute to training plans.
· Promote a positive, accountable and supportive team culture.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
· Support quality assurance activities, audits and service reviews.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational requirements.
· Contribute to inspection preparation and continuous improvement activities.
· Support the implementation of recommendations arising from audits, inspections and service reviews.
Safeguarding and Risk Management
· Promote safeguarding and adult protection practices at all times.
· Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, incidents and emergencies.
· Ensure risk assessments are implemented, reviewed and followed consistently.
· Support the health, safety and wellbeing of the people we support, visitors and staff.
· Partnership Working
· Develop positive working relationships with families, guardians, advocates and external professionals.
· Represent Cantraybridge professionally when working with partner agencies and stakeholders.
· Support effective communication across the Independent Living Service.
General
· Work in accordance with the Health and Social Care Standards.
· Adhere to the SSSC Codes of Practice and maintain professional registration requirements.
· Participate in meetings, training and organisational development activities.
· Support organisational events, community engagement and service development initiatives.
· Provide administrative support as required in relation to service user support plans
· Update diary system for 6 monthly service user reviews and staff support & supervision sessions.
· Filing and maintaining the e-filing system, including scanning and distributing/filing documents electronically.
· Assisting with the financial/cash functions for the Independent Living Department.
· Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.
Pay: £28,200.00 per year

Work Location: In person
