Since launching in 2015, the North Coast 500 has become an internationally recognised tourism brand, generating hundreds of millions of pounds for the economy of the North Highlands and supporting thousands of jobs. Today, the organisation is entering an exciting new phase as it evolves into a Destination Management and Marketing Organisation (DMMO), placing greater emphasis on sustainable and regenerative tourism, community benefit, visitor management and long-term economic resilience.

The Opportunity
This is far more than a membership sales role.
We are looking for an energetic, commercially minded relationship builder to help grow and strengthen one of Scotland’s most influential business networks.
In this Membership / Impact Partner Recruitment role, you will identify, engage, and recruit high-quality tourism businesses from across the North Highlands, building long-term relationships that demonstrate the value of joining the North Coast 500 Limited community. Being part of that community offers businesses the chance to join as members, benefitting from marketing, but also joining as Impact Partners and helping North Coast 500 Limited achieve the implementation of our ESG Strategy. This is a new and exciting development for the organisation and offers a unique experience to the sales role in recruiting Impact Partners, as well as members.
You’ll spend time meeting business owners online and in-person, attending industry events, speaking confidently about our Vision and helping businesses understand how membership and partnership contribute not only to their own success, but to the sustainable future of tourism across the region.
Working alongside the Executive Chair, our Head of Marketing and Operations, and Board, you will play an important role in growing membership income, increasing engagement and ensuring members and impact partners feel valued throughout their journey with North Coast 500 Limited.
No two days will be the same. One day you may be meeting accommodation providers and tourism businesses online, the next presenting to tourism operators in Sutherland or Wester Ross, attending a networking event in Inverness or developing initiatives that improve member engagement.
This is an opportunity to become an ambassador for one of Scotland’s most recognised tourism brands.
What We Are Looking For: The Person
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and enjoys meeting people.
You will be an excellent communicator who naturally builds trust and enjoys creating long-lasting business relationships.
Ideally you will have:
· Experience in sales, membership development, business development or account management.
· Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills.
· The confidence to engage with business owners and senior decision-makers.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
· A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for achieving results.
· An understanding of tourism, hospitality or the visitor economy would be advantageous, although not essential.
· A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the North Highlands.
Most importantly, you will believe in the potential of the North Coast 500 and be passionate about helping businesses succeed while supporting the future sustainability and regeneration of our remarkable region.
