Job Title: Doggy Daycare Handler
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and passionate Doggy Daycare Handler to join our team! This self employed role involves driving the company van and safely transporting dogs to and from daycare, ensuring their well-being during travel, and providing fun and engaging time at daycare. If you love working with dogs and enjoy being outdoors, this could be the perfect job for you!
Pay: £12.25-£12.71 ph
Hours: Two days a week (Flexible - TBA at interview)
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely collect and drop off dogs from clients’ homes to our daycare facility.
- Ensure all dogs are secured correctly in the vehicle and travel comfortably.
- Supporting with group play sessions and activities.
- Monitor and manage dog behaviour, ensuring a positive experience for all.
- Provide basic care such as wiping muddy paws, refilling water bowls, and giving treats as needed.
- Communicate with clients about their dogs’ activities and well-being.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle and doggy daycare environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years driving experience, a full clean UK driving license and DBS check.
- Must live local to Tunbridge Wells and know the local area.
- Must have experience handling multiple dogs of various breeds and sizes.
- A passion for animal welfare and confidence in managing dog behaviour.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A responsible, punctual, and professional attitude.
Preferred but Not Essential:
- Previous experience in dog daycare, walking, or animal care.
- Canine first aid certification.
- Knowledge of dog behaviour and training techniques.
