Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties

Installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in new builds or renovation projects
Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of existing electrical systems
Diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective repairs
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation and repair tasks
Documenting work performed and reporting any issues or discrepancies to supervisors
Collaborating with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc.
Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and voltage testers
Strong electrical experience with the ability to read technical diagrams accurately
Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A valid UK driving licence is desirable for site visits and transportation of equipment
