Location Cardiff

The Role Department and salary Department – Sport Science Salary – £25ph Working Hours – to deliver up to 2x UKSCA L3 Trainer Diploma courses per year which includes 6 weekends of in-person delivery (min. 96 hours per year) plus flexible ability to conduct online 1-to-1 assessments with learners and perform admin tasks. How you'll contribute Together with a team of assessor-teachers, you will deliver the UKSCA Level 3 S&C Trainer Diploma to sports coaches, PE teachers and other sport leaders in Wales. Your expert knowledge and practical experience in Strength and Conditioning (S&C) coaching will be essential as you teach and assess these entry-level qualifications. You will foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to engage actively and develop a comprehensive understanding of key S&C principles and practical skills. Your passion for teaching and your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly will be instrumental in inspiring and motivating students. Collaborating with your team, you will work to continuously improve the curriculum and assessment methods. Mentoring and coaching will be significant aspects of your role, providing personalized guidance and support to adult learners. You will help them develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their professional goals. Who you’ll work with You will collaborate closely with a team of fellow assessor-teachers, all aligned towards delivering high-quality S&C education. This team-oriented environment will provide you with the support and resources needed to excel in your role. You will also contribute ideas to enhance the delivery of the course and assessments. You will work directly with sports coaches and PE teachers, guiding them through their educational journey and helping them develop their skills and knowledge. This includes a combination of teaching in-person workshops and conducting practical and theoretical assessments. What you'll need To excel in this role, you will need: A strong background in Strength and Conditioning, with relevant qualifications and practical experience. Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively. A passion for mentoring and coaching, with a commitment to supporting the professional development of students. The ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to curriculum development and program improvement. Flexibility and willingness to travel, and commit to delivering courses on weekends. A proactive approach to staying current with the latest developments in S&C and educational best practices. Your dedication to excellence in teaching and your commitment to student success will be key to your success in this role.
