Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, primarily using TIG welding techniques, to produce high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in sheet metal work, fabrication, and assembly. The position involves working with various hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment, ensuring precision and safety at all times.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding processes on various metals, including sheet metal, to meet project specifications.
- Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately produce parts and assemblies.
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during fabrication and welding processes.
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or subassemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding and general welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of <LOCATION> welding standards and practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Experience working with sheet metal and performing fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
