Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Chef/Fryer to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, specialising in fried foods, in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment within the hospitality sector.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook food items according to specified recipes and standards
Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area before, during, and after service
Assist in meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Serve food to customers or assist serving staff as required
Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
Follow all food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure quality

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles preferred
Knowledge of culinary techniques, especially frying methods
Experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is advantageous
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends if required
A positive attitude and team-oriented approach to work
