We are looking for a Senior Admissions Officer to proactively manage and oversee all aspects of the admissions process for a portfolio of programmes and/or dedicated partner institution under the leadership of the Head and deputy Head of section. Overseeing the work of 4 Admissions Officers to process applications from our partner colleges and direct delivery campuses, you will work with colleagues in our Centre for Educational Partnerships, our Admissions representatives at our partner colleges and support the wider Admissions team.
(This is a full time, 1 year fixed term contract)
You are a self-motivated, enthusiastic, customer-focussed individual with experience of working with large datasets. The postholder will support the Admissions Coordinator (Partnerships) and Head of Admissions and Applicant Support (Partnerships) in ensuring that our policies and processes are understood and adopted by our partner colleges. In addition to this you will look to continuously improve our processes, ensure they are fit for purpose and meet our regulatory requirements and statutory reporting requirements.
You will work closely with the University’s academic departments, partner college Admissions teams and marketing and outreach officers. In conjunction with the Admissions Coordinator, you will oversee the work of the team who assess student applications in a timely and professional manner, inputting admissions decisions into the student records system (SITS), issuing of offers to applicants, chasing applicant decisions and responding to queries.
You will also play a key role in Bath Spa University’s recruitment activities and support Open Days and events

Salary Grade 6 - £33,951 per annum
This position in a 1 year fixed term contract
- Some out of hours working will be occasionally required, including some evenings and specific weekends during the academic year (Graduation, Registration, Confirmation & Clearing).
- Opportunities for taking annual leave during the months of August and September will be limited, and leave at other times will need to be assessed across the team so that service provision is not impacted.
