Full job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and experienced Team Leader to join our dedicated team on a maternity cover contract supporting adults with learning disabilities within our residential care home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality person-centred care and leading a team to provide outstanding support that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of care staff to deliver exceptional care and support.
Ensure service users receive person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
Assist with staff supervision, training, and performance management.
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for both residents and staff.
Participate in the management on-call rota, providing guidance and support to staff outside of normal working hours when required.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working within adult social care, preferably supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
Previous experience in a senior care or leadership role.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or currently working towards achieving this qualification.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
A commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.

Working Pattern

The successful candidate will work a three-week rolling rota, including weekdays, weekends, and shifts as required by the needs of the service.
The role includes participation in an on-call rota, requiring the post holder to be available to respond to emergencies, staffing issues, and operational matters outside of normal working hours.

DBS Requirement

Applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. The cost of the DBS application must be funded by the successful applicant.
