Full job description

We are looking for a chef/cook with a years experience in a similar setting, No experience needed in the fish and chip industry as full training will be provided.

As a Chef/fryer , your responsibilities will mainly include preparing and cooking all menu items in line with the company’s methods of production and procedure for quality control you will be helping your management team ensure that you and your colleagues deliver great food and service.There will be occasional shifts on the front counter where you will serve our customers and assist with packaging orders.

Main Responsibilities

preparing and cooking fish and chips and other menu items to company spec and highest standards
Preparing the the store for opening and close
Managing the oils and frying range
Supporting good food hygiene practices
Supporting best practice for Health & Safety
Organisational skills
Good knowledge of food safety standard procedures
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
completing relevant food safety and cleaning schedule paperwork
Time management skills
maintaining cleaning standards within the store
supervising team members and junior staff

Contracted hours are 20 per week, the Rota is over 7 days to include evening weekend and daytime shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £10.81-£12.71 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Plympton PL7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
