Funded through Crisis and Resilience Funding (CRF), this vital role acts as a safety net for low-income households experiencing financial shocks and hardship. Working in a structured and supported environment, you will provide administrative support to the wider team while reviewing, validating, and processing a high volume of documents to maintain strict accuracy and compliance standards. As a key point of contact, you will help alleviate immediate financial crises and ensure a smooth, reassuring journey for all clients, including creating client appointments for caseworkers and providing vital phone support for those who are digitally excluded.
We are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable clients and experience in a customer service environment. You must be an adept IT user with strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to keep accurate records while working well both independently and as part of a team. While a strong focus on document verification is required, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
We are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Administrative Assistant, with excellent IT literacy and good communication skills to:
- Verify documents
- Facilitate a holistic journey through the advice service
- Provide administrative support for the wider team
- Ensure a high level of record management is maintained through the client's journey
- Issue payments and order required goods for clients
- Organise and manage the calendars for the wider caseworker team
This role will be based at the offices of Citizens Advice South Hams in Totnes but there is flexibility for some remote working.
