We are currently looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Domestic Assistants to join our friendly and supportive team.
This role operates on a 7-day rota aligned to the needs of the home. Flexibility is important to support the smooth and safe running of the service, and rotas are shared in advance wherever possible to support work–life balance.
About the Role
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in helping to create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and colleagues. You will work closely with the Housekeeper and wider team to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home while supporting residents’ dignity, individuality, and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning residents’ bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, furnishings, and equipment to a high standard
- Supporting residents to maintain personalised and homely living spaces that reflect their preferences and individuality
- Following infection prevention and control procedures, including COSHH and health & safety guidance
- Managing waste disposal in accordance with infection control requirements
- Safely using cleaning equipment and products in line with training and procedures, including carpet cleaning equipment when required.
- Responding proactively to domestic needs throughout the day to maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment
- Reporting equipment faults, maintenance concerns, or stock shortages to the Housekeeper and Maintenance team
- Supporting deep cleaning procedures, particularly during infection control outbreaks when required
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support the smooth running of the home
About You
We are looking for people who:

- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Has good communication skills and can engage positively with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues
- Is organised, proactive, and able to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment
- Is committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and infection prevention and control
- Are able to safely use cleaning equipment, including industrial carpet cleaners, with reasonable adjustments where required.
Previous cleaning or domestic experience is welcome but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
