Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Roller Shutter Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This entry-level role offers valuable hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of roller shutters across various commercial settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen interest in engineering, possess mechanical aptitude, and be eager to develop specialised skills within the industry. This position provides comprehensive training and development opportunities for those looking to establish a career in engineering and technical services.

Duties

Assist with the installation, servicing, and repair of roller shutters and related equipment at client sites.
Support senior engineers in conducting routine maintenance checks to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
Learn to operate specialised machinery such as genie lifts and other relevant tools required for installation tasks.
Help with the transportation of equipment and materials using commercial vehicles, adhering to all safety regulations.
Contribute to site preparation activities, including site surveys and safety assessments.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or faults identified during inspections.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Experience

No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided for all technical aspects of the role.
A valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is desirable but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary licences is preferred.
Basic mechanical knowledge or familiarity with tools such as drills, screwdrivers, or similar equipment is advantageous.
Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the engineering sector and a proactive attitude towards professional development are essential.
