Overview
We are looking for a part time Medical Administrator to work 25.5 hours over 3 days per week (Please note this is a temporary 6 month contract and will be reviewed according to business needs at the end of the initial term).
Shifts start at 8am or 8.30am and will finish between 5pm and 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Some Saturday and Sunday mornings will be required from time to time.
Start date: To be agreed
Hourly rate: £12.75 per hour (paid monthly - last Thursday of the month)
Annual Leave: 5 weeks pro rata per annum
The position of Medical Administrator is a busy and varied one and the ability to work as part of a team is essential. We aim to run a paperless system which means good keyboard/IT skills are vital for this role. On the job training will be provided.
Key Duties
Answering the telephone, booking appointments, booking home visits, taking messages, using our practice software to manage patient enquiries and processing prescription requests.
Other Duties
Computer data entry such as scanning documents, entering patients medical data, filing and retrieving patient notes and filing of documents into patients notes and generally assisting members of the whole medical team to enable the smooth running of the practice.
