We are a small family team on a mission to inspire a love of wine, far beyond the bottle. Born from a challenge to redefine how our family used our slice of Devon, we wanted to grow something unusual that we could all be proud of. With a love of wine and the land, we jumped feet first into the world of English wine and now grow 7000+ vines here on the edge of Dartmoor. In 2020, we opened our new kitchen and expanded shop as well as our new on-site winery.
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our team. You will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring our service runs smoothly by keeping our equipment spotless and our workspace organized.
Hours:
6.5 hrs a week. | Your hours will standardly 11am-5:30pm on Sundays with the potential for more hours, especially during busy periods.
How much will we pay you?:
17: £8.20
18-20: £11.05
21+ : £12.91

What will I be doing and what’s required of me?
Your main focus is maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our kitchen. Your duties will include:
- Dishwashing: Operating the dishwasher and pot washing to ensure a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery, and pans during busy service periods.
- Cleaning: Maintaining high hygiene standards across the kitchen, prep areas, and back-of-house.
- Kitchen Support: Assisting the chefs with basic prep tasks when required and ensuring the kitchen is kept organised.
- Standards: Champion our mission and uphold our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Flexibility: You must be willing to work weekends as well as bankholidays.
- Reliability: Excellent timekeeping and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy, high-energy team are essential.
- Transport: You will need your own transport to and from the vineyard, as access via public transport is limited.
What do I need?
- You will need to be 17 years old or above.
- Team Player: The ability to work seamlessly as part of a busy team.
- Work Ethic: A hard-working, proactive attitude; you understand how critical a clean kitchen is to a successful service.
- Passion: A love for quality food and drink and a genuine appreciation for the Devon landscape.
- Experience: Previous experience working in kitchens is favoured but not essential; we value a great attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Commitment: You must be willing to work weekends as well as weekdays.
- Transport: You must have your own transport to reach the vineyard reliably.
