Job description

Successful candidates will be required to work in any of our laboratories dealing in Conventional Core Analysis and Special Core Analysis (SCAL). Opportunities to work at the wellsite and within Enhanced / Improved Oil recovery departments may be available.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for performing all the analyses necessary in order to ensure that our services are of the highest quality and are performed in a safe and timely manner. The tasks associated with the position include but are not restricted to:

sample preparation
performing analytical laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support investigations (following written laboratory procedures)
maintaining project documentation
operating laboratory equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

A degree in Geology or a relevant Science discipline is required
Previous work experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Computer literate and numerate
Works well in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and to work to client time schedules
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
The role will include a degree of manual handling so applicants should be capable of lifting loads up to approximately 25kg.
Candidates should be aware that shift work may be required.
