Full job description

At Renton-Harper Periodontics, we are looking for a qualified dental nurse to join the team in our specialist periodontal practice. You would join a friendly, experienced team of nurses and hygienists and whilst working primarily with our hygienists, also work alongside our specialist periodontist in our new, purpose built perio clinic.

If you are a nurse who wishes to do more than sit chair side, we offer excellent support for further post-graduate qualifications.

We carry out a range of tests and investigations as part of patient care, including microbiology, and our nurses are trained to undertake these and play a key part in patient assessment.

If you wish to pursue a career as a hygienist, this is also an ideal opportunity to work with some of the very best in a warm and supportive environment.

We are proud that many of our team have been with us for years. A number of our nurses have gone on to train as hygienists and recently this has created an opening for a new nurse to join our team.

As a nurse, your primary role is to look after the well-being of the patients under your care and the right candidate will have the following skills as a minimum:

A friendly and empathic approach to patients and fellow team members
A professional appearance and manner
Good communication skills
The ability to work directly with patients, within the limits of their skills
Be organised, flexible and able to prioritise their work
Follow clinical and administrative procedures precisely
Wish to develop their clinical skills to advance their career

Job Information :

Job Type: Permanent, Monday - Thursday 8.45am to 5.30pm (1 hour lunch)

Starting Pay: £ 15 per hour
