Functional Assessor

Milton Keynes | Hybrid Working
Monday–Friday | 09:00–17:00 | Full-time

We’re hiring registered healthcare professionals in Milton Keynes to join a growing team as Functional Assessors — a role where you’ll use your clinical expertise in a structured, non-treatment environment.

Who can apply?

We’re looking for:

NMC Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD)
HCPC Registered Professionals:
Paramedics
Occupational Therapists
Physiotherapists

Minimum 12 months’ recent UK post-qualification experience
Full UK right to work (no sponsorship available)

The role – What you’ll be doing

You’ll carry out functional assessments for individuals applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Work Capability Assessment (WCA)

Conduct face-to-face and remote assessments in the Milton Keynes area
Assess individuals with physical and mental health conditions
Apply your clinical knowledge + medical evidence to each case
Produce clear, evidence-based reports
Help determine how conditions impact daily living

No treatments. No ward work. No emergencies.

What you’ll need

Strong clinical knowledge (physical + mental health)
Good IT skills (report writing is ~50% of role)
Ability to commute to Milton Keynes site 2 days per week

12-week structured training programme
Must commit to full-time training (first 6 weeks without leave)
Ongoing CPD + revalidation support
