Ready to take your payroll career to the next level?

Join us at GXO as a Payroll Advisor and play a key role in keeping our payroll operations running like clockwork—ensuring every colleague is paid accurately and on time. If you’ve already built up experience in payroll and are looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you!

This is a permanent role based at our Northampton head office which offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with up to three days a week in the office.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. In addition, we offer and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Collaborate across Payroll and HR Operations, supporting Team Leads and stepping in during their absence.
Review payroll each cycle to identify and resolve errors (e.g., overpayments, zero payments) before final processing
Accurately input, update, and maintain payroll data (including employee records, deductions, absences, and statutory payments)
Manage queries via SNOW, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and prioritisation of high-impact issues
Provide payroll support services, including calculations, reporting, payments, documentation (e.g., payslips, P45/P60), and stakeholder engagement with sites

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Experienced payroll professional, adaptable team player with initiative; desirable knowledge of ADP GlobalView, SNOW, and working towards or holding CIPP qualification
Strong customer service focus with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage workloads in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while meeting SLAs
Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism, with a sound understanding of GDPR and handling sensitive information
Numerate and analytical, with intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
