Based at Caledonia High School, you will play an important role in supporting the safe, efficient and welcoming operation of Community Use facilities.
You will be responsible for opening and securing buildings and grounds, preparing facilities for a wide range of activities and ensuring that customers, clubs and community groups have access to the spaces and equipment they require. This includes setting up and clearing rooms, moving and storing furniture, erecting and dismantling sports equipment and ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard.
You will patrol facilities during opening hours, monitor public areas and support the safe operation of the building through the use of fire, security and alarm systems. You will respond appropriately to incidents and customer enquiries, reporting and recording issues as required.
A key part of the role is providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with customers, user groups and colleagues to ensure activities run smoothly and that visitors have a positive experience when using Community Use facilities. You will also undertake cleaning duties, report repair and maintenance issues and support the delivery of Community Use services in line with health and safety procedures and service standards.
A number of shifts are available, and these are split into the following patterns:
Position 1 (4.5/9 hours per week, alternating):
Saturdays 09:15-13:45 (fortnightly)
Position 2 (4.5/9 hours per week, alternating):
Sundays 09:15-13:45 (fortnightly)
Position 3 (9 hours per week):
Position 4 (4.5 hours per week):
There is scope for alternative combinations of the available different shifts. This can be discussed with applicants. All shifts are worked in line with facility opening hours and operational requirements.

Experience of working within a leisure, community, education, facilities management, caretaking or customer service environment would be advantageous.
