Full job description

Description

In conjunction with Guidance & Wellbeing Manager, the post-holder will deliver and coordinate a range of wellbeing interventions and activities to support existing, new and returning students. This will include the extended College community in Glasgow and elsewhere, as part of a quality, efficient and effective service.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 23.59 on Sunday 5 July 2026.

Anticipated interviews are expected to take place Monday 13 July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of a positive wellbeing culture and deliver campaigns and initiatives that enhance students’ physical and mental health awareness.
Act as a first point of contact for wellbeing support, providing advice, managing referrals, and delivering workshops and activities to build students’ resilience and self-management skills.
Work closely with Student Support colleagues, academic staff, and external partners to identify and support students at risk, ensuring coordinated and effective interventions.
Plan, deliver, and promote wellbeing services and represent the service at college and external events.
Contribute to the development of wellbeing platforms, maintain knowledge of emerging trends, and support continuous improvement of policies and practices.
Maintain accurate records, support reporting and evaluation, manage communications, and provide general administrative support to the team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies to enhance the support available to students.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications:

Educated to HNC/SCQF level 7 or equivalent

Knowledge:

Demonstrable knowledge of

Knowledge of the Further Education and/or Higher Education sector.
Demonstrate knowledge of wellbeing and support

Skills and Competencies:

Knowledge of pastoral care and wellbeing
Good level of IT Literacy including a working knowledge of MS Word, Teams, Access, and Excel
Ability to work online and face to face
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a Team
Ability to remain calm in demanding situations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Confident and self-motivated
Potential flexibility to cover evening events as required

Experience:

Previous experience of working in a Mental Health/Wellbeing service
Previous experience of working within a Further or Higher Education environment
Previous experience of working within a customer care and client central environment
Previous experience of working in an advocacy role
