About the role:
This role plays a vital part in supporting all on-site managers by assisting with a broad range of administrative responsibilities. The role holder is expected to deliver a high-quality administrative service across the business, with a particular focus on supporting Production Managers through accurate system data entry and reporting. Additionally, the role provides flexible administrative support to other departmental managers as needed.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
· Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the Production Team, ensuring production processes run efficiently and accurately.
· Act as the data custodian for Production systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date data, including the entry of production data into SAP.
· Generate and analyse management information reports as requested to support decision-making.
· Print technical drawings and prepare planning packs to support production activities.
· Monitor training schedules and coordinate 1-to-1 reviews for supervisors and managers.
· Serve as the first point of contact for all administrative operations and related enquiries.
· Raise purchase requisitions as needed to support departmental requirements.
· Complete administrative tasks related to time and attendance, including clocking amendments, holiday and sickness tracking, and assist employees with data input into PeopleHR.
· Participate in ad hoc project work and contribute to ongoing change initiatives within the business.
· Draft and prepare standard letters and documentation in support of production operations.
What we’re looking for:
Candidates must have the following essential qualifications and experience:
· Minimum of grade C in English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent.
· Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
· General administrative experience gained in an Engineering and / or Manufacturing environment
· Experience of using data systems and being able to learn and adapt systems to assist in continuous improvement
· Excellent IT skills and knowledge of MS programmes particularly Microsoft Excel Intermediate level, ability to manipulate spreadsheets.
