The Role
This is a Supervisor / Assistant Manager development role, working closely
with our Manager to support the day-to-day running daycare and kennels You will
be: - Supporting and guiding the team on shift - Maintaining high welfare and
operational standards - Communicating clearly with both staff and clients -
Taking ownership of situations and decision-making when required - Helping
ensure consistency across all areas of the business --- ###

- Has previous experience working with dogs
- (kennels, daycare, rescue, or similar)
- Is confident, calm, and capable of taking responsibility -
- Communicates clearly and professionally

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor/Assistant Manager for our Doggy Day Care centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a pet-loving environment, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of animal care and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animals, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Previous Daycare experience or animal care background is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the Doggy Day Care centre, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Assist in managing staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations
- Provide exceptional care and attention to dogs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their stay
- Handle customer enquiries, bookings, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy
- Oversee cleaning routines and maintenance of the facility to uphold hygiene standards
- Support behavioural assessments and manage special needs or behavioural issues in dogs
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Contribute to marketing efforts by promoting services to clients and community outreach programmes
Requirements
- Prior Daycare experience or background in animal care is highly advantageous
- Strong passion for animals with a genuine interest in their welfare
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness and stamina
- Organised with strong leadership qualities capable of supervising staff and managing daily operations
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a positive attitude towards challenges
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Flexibility to work during centre hours, including weekends if necessary

Pay: £24,784.00-£26,734.00 per year
