Location: The Sir Thomas Hotel, Liverpool.

Hours: 30-hours/week minimum, Permanent

The Sir Thomas Hotel is a boutique family operated business, with newly refurbished guest rooms, an excellent restaurant, and a well-stocked bar. It is located in a position that provides easy access to all of Liverpool’s historic attractions.

The Sir Thomas Hotel is full of character internally and externally, and our staff are there to ensure that you receive the highest level of comfort and service.

Job Description:

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join The Sir Thomas Hotel, a vibrant hotel in Liverpool City Centre, to work closely with our General Manager to ensure the smooth running of all hotel departments.

Key Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Support the daily operation of the hotel across all departments
Lead, motivate and support team members to maintain high service standards
Assist with staff supervision, training and rota management
Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
Ensure compliance with health & safety, company procedures and hotel standards
Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management processes
Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement
Maintain excellent communication across departments

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous hotel or hospitality supervisory/management experience - this is a must!
Has excellent leadership and communication skills
Is organised, proactive and able to work under pressure
Has a hands-on approach and leads by example
Is passionate about customer service and guest experience
Has good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays where required
