EMIS proficient desirable
- Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare setting or similar environment

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
- Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards patient confidentiality and privacy
- Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

We are a small friendly village practice with supportive staff.
Pengam Health Centre is seeking a friendly, organised, and professional GP Receptionist to join our busy practice team.
The post is 16 hours over 3 sessions.
Minimum Wage .
Applicant must be able to work until 6.30 on some sessions flexible to keep up with practice demand and current primary care needs.
Main Duties Include:
- Welcoming patients and visitors to the practice
- Answering telephone enquiries and booking appointments dealing with General enquiries.
- Managing patient manual and computerised records, administrative tasks in accordance with practice policy.
- Process incoming mail.
- Providing excellent customer service in a confidential healthcare environment
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team
- Process Repeat Prescription requests.
- Problem solving any issues with competency with support from senior staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and IT skills Proficient in EMIS preferred.
- The ability to work calmly in a busy environment
- Previous reception or customer service experience (preferred)
- Working in a Health Care Setting
- A professional, caring, and team-focused attitude
- GCSE English & Mathematics preferred
