Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Prepare and process sales and purchase invoices.
Perform bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Support the preparation of management accounts for clients.
Maintain and reconcile petty cash records.
Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures.

Payroll Duties

Skills & Experience

Experience in accounts, bookkeeping, or payroll (practice experience desirable).
Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and client service skills.
Experience of working in practice.

Qualifications (Typical)

Salary will be dependant on experience.

The role will be at our office on Whitchurch Road.

Working hours: Monday to Friday. 9am to 5pm. 37.5 hours.
