Overview

TWO JOBS AVAILABLE - 16 HOURS AND 16-24 HOURS PER WEEK

We are seeking 2 dedicated and friendly Shop Assistants to join our team, one 16 hours and one 16-24. The ideal candidates will provide excellent customer service, assist with daily shop operations, and support administrative tasks as needed. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in retail, customer relations, and basic IT systems within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
Support customers in selecting products and provide relevant information about items
Operate cash registers, handle transactions accurately, and process payments
Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor and display areas
Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly labelled and presented attractively
Assist with administrative duties such as stock management, record keeping, and data entry using IT systems
Support the team with general shop duties including opening and closing procedures as required
Provide feedback on customer preferences and stock levels to management

Experience

Previous experience in customer service or retail is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Basic IT skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and data entry software
Administrative experience is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn new skills is essential
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
