Administrator wanted Monday to Wednesday, part time.
How you'll make a difference:
Red One is a supplier of industrial fire and rescue services and specialist training across the UK. Our rescue teams operate in some of the most demanding environments in the country and they need reliable, accurate support behind the scenes to do it safely.
As a Business Support Administrator, you'll keep the administrative and financial engine running at Devonport Dockyard. From ensuring payroll is accurate to keeping training records current and compliance checks on track, your work means our operational teams can focus on what they do best - keeping people safe.
What you'll be doing:
General Administration: Co-ordinate on-site deliveries; reconciliation of goods on and off hire, administering our internal systems and databases; maintaining records, processing and handling HR administration including onboarding, monitoring of applications for security passes, leave records, and appraisal support. You'll also be responsible for tracking staff training records and qualifications, flagging gaps and upcoming renewals to the relevant managers. Alongside all of this, you'll act as a key point of contact for internal teams, clients, and suppliers, and actively look for ways to improve the systems and processes you work with.
Finance Administration: You will provide support to the finance team by raising purchasing orders, checking and processing received Invoices, handling queries, creating customer and supplier accounts on our internal systems. Assisting with payroll by collating time worked and ensuring accuracy for input to the Finance team for payroll and onwards customer invoicing.
What we need from you:
You'll bring solid administrative and finance experience, with advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables, and confidence across Microsoft Office. Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial, as is the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
You'll be well organised, able to juggle competing deadlines, and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team. A qualification such as AAT or ATT would be a bonus, as would experience with compliance systems like Papertrail or a background in operational or high-risk environments.
A full clean drivers license and the ability to attain full security clearance as well as DBS are essential.
The Rewards:
In return, we offer a competitive salary package, pension and attractive holiday scheme; we also offer a range of other benefits to support our team, including ongoing development opportunities.
This is an exciting chance to be part of a progressive business, where you can really make a difference.
