Job Description:
Full-time role – 37.5 hours a week
HMS Raleigh, Torpoint
Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you’ll be doing
- Acting as a line handler / winch operator on the replica ships (Deckhand)
- Acting as a safety number during training.
- Carrying out maintenance tasks on training equipment.
- Ensuring that the maintenance of all authority training equipment is carried out to enable equipment performance standards to be met and the training programme maintained.
- Recording the implementation of equipment maintenance to ensure performance is maintained and changes made with the authority agreement in order that maintenance costs can be reduced overtime.
- Ensuring company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Previous experience of deck operations within a marine environment.
- Experience of handling ropes and winches
- Knowledge of how to use Maintenance Management Systems.
- Demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software)
