The role
As our digital offering continues to grow, we're looking for a Paid Search Manager to help shape the next phase of our journey. You'll take ownership of the strategy, planning and delivery of paid search campaigns across a diverse portfolio of clients, while helping to grow and develop our paid search offering.This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build and mentor a growing team, playing an active part in recruitment, developing talent and establishing best practice. Working closely with our Analytics and AV specialists, you'll connect measurement, audience insights and media activation to deliver high-performing, integrated campaigns across multiple platforms.
Key responsibilities
Strategy & campaign management
- Own the paid search strategy across a portfolio of client accounts, from planning and forecasting through to execution and optimisation.
- Build, manage and optimise campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Amazon Ads, including Search, Shopping, Performance Max and Demand Gen.
- Manage and optimise product feeds using feed-management platforms.
- Manage budgets and bidding strategies to hit client KPIs, balancing efficiency targets with volume and growth goals.
- Conduct keyword research, audience planning, ad copywriting and landing-page recommendations to continually improve performance.
- Use analytics and attribution tools to measure performance, draw insight and inform decisions.
- Assist the Paid Social team in the optimisation of Meta Ad campaigns.
- Audit paid search accounts and conduct pitches for new business.
- Stay ahead of platform changes, automation and industry trends, and bring new ideas and best practice into the agency.
Team building & development
- Take ownership of growing the paid search team.
- Play an active role in recruitment – contributing to job specs, reviewing candidates and interviewing alongside leadership.
- Onboard, coach and develop new team members, building paid search capability and helping people progress in their careers.
- Help shape ways of working, processes and best-practice documentation.
Client & commercial
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, presenting strategy, performance and recommendations with confidence and clarity.
- Build strong, trusted client relationships and proactively identify opportunities to grow accounts.
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals where relevant.
- Ensure accurate reporting, billing inputs and budget reconciliation across your accounts.
Essential skills & experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience managing paid media campaigns.
- Advanced expertise in Google Ads & Microsoft Advertising (Bing).
- Intermediate expertise in Meta Ads Manager.
- Proven experience activating, optimising and scaling high-performing campaigns.
- Strong experience with feed-management platforms (such as DataFeedWatch, Channable or equivalent) to optimise product feeds for Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
- Excellent analytical skills, with confidence interpreting data and making commercial recommendations.
- Experience managing significant advertising budgets.
- Strong understanding of attribution, conversion tracking, GA4 and reporting.
- Experience contributing to and presenting in client pitches and new business proposals.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable experience
Experience with any of the following would be a significant advantage:
- Additional paid social media experience (TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest etc.).
- Amazon Ads.
- Programmatic advertising (DV360, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt or similar).
- Multi-touch attribution and marketing-measurement platforms (such as Triple Whale, Northbeam or similar) to inform optimisation and budget allocation.
- Experience using AI tools (such as Claude) to support campaign analysis, ad copywriting, reporting and day-to-day workflow efficiency.
- Looker Studio or Tableau
- Google Tag Manager and advanced tracking implementation.

Package
Competitive salary (dependent on experience), plus benefits including pension, holiday allowance, hybrid working and ongoing training and development. Full details will be shared during the interview process.
