This is a marvellous role for someone who considers security by design from the start, this is important as you will be working on Government, MOD, Met Police and Ministry of Justice projects. You will being joining a friendly multi functional team of professionals (testers, developers, lead engineers, project managers, product owner) who create cloud-based Secure Geospatial Software in an AGILE scrum environment
How you will contribute to the team
Collaborative practices like pairing, swarming and mobbing
Translate business goals and high-level requirements into robust software architectures, balancing performance, security, reliability, and compliance
Design scalable, flexible, secure and maintainable architectures for complex geospatial systems
Collaborate with development teams to select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns
Produce clear, structured documentation covering architecture decisions and design rationale
Establish and maintain architectural traceability from business requirements through to solution design.
Contribute to and support technical and architectural reviews
About you?
Someone who brings ideas to the table and holds your hand up with questions or spotting red flags within architecture or the full software lifecycle
Strong experience designing and architecting cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes (K8s), with a focus on microservices and asynchronous, event-driven architectures.
Strong experience designing and owning software architectures for complex systems, preferably in a cloud environment with an awareness of DevSecOps
Builds positive working relationships and contributes to a respectful, collaborative team environment.
Is comfortable providing and receiving feedback within a team environment whilst also owning software architecture for complex systems
Experience working in environments with security, cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance constraints
