Market Research Assistant

Location: Billingham, County Durham (Office-Based Only)
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent (subject to a 6-month probationary period)

At NEMS Market Research, our success is built on the expertise, commitment, and teamwork of our people. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Market Research Assistant to join our growing Research Team based in Billingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in market research, with comprehensive training and professional development provided.

About the Role

As a Market Research Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality research projects for a diverse range of clients. Working as part of our Research Team, you will contribute to all stages of the research process, including:

Assisting with questionnaire design and development
Supporting the management and delivery of telephone, online, and face-to-face surveys
Analysing research data and producing reports
Ensuring projects are completed accurately and efficiently
Working across multiple research projects simultaneously

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, analytical, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Skills and Attributes

Good IT skills, including experience using word processing and spreadsheet software (preferably Microsoft Word and Excel)
Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Good numerical and analytical abilities
A good level of literacy, with the ability to contribute to questionnaire design and report writing

Desirable Skills

Experience working with databases
Basic web design knowledge

While previous market research experience is beneficial, it is not essential. We value enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to develop new skills.
