Duties
- Repair and shape vehicle bodies using specialised tools and techniques to restore structural integrity.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply primer, paint, and clear coats with attention to colour matching and finish quality.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out repairs and refinishing tasks.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle body systems and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, dollies, sanders, and spray guns.
- Experience with power tools including grinders, drills, and pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials.
- Attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
