Aylesbury Central Primary Care Network

Central Aylesbury working across all PCN sites

Salary: Dependant on experience aligned to band 6 starting rate £39,959 WTE

Hours: 22.5 per week

Contract: Initial Fixed Term 6 month

NHS Pension

33 days leave inclusive of bank holidays WTE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated PCN Manager to join our forward-thinking and collaborative team at Aylesbury Central PCN.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing primary care services, making a real impact on patient care across the network. Working closely with clinical leads, practices, and system partners, you will support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys both strategic and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Support delivery of the PCN’s strategic plan and priorities
Help shape new models of care and service development
Build strong relationships with system partners and stakeholders
Promote engagement across all PCN practices
Use data and insight to support decision-making

Operations & Delivery

Oversee delivery of PCN contracts and service specifications
Support training and development across the PCN workforce
Identify risks and implement solutions with Network Leads
Lead on projects and drive initiatives through to completion
Ensure compliance with national policies and frameworks

Finance & Governance

Support financial planning, monitoring, and reporting
Oversee DES submissions and contractual requirements
Contribute to effective use of resources across the PCN

Digital & Data

Promote effective use of digital tools and business intelligence
Develop data insights to inform service improvement
Support digital accessibility for patients and staff

Relationship Management

Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture
Lead on communication and engagement across the network
Represent the PCN at external meetings
Support the development of PCN values and culture

Workforce & HR

Support recruitment, induction, and retention of staff
Contribute to workforce planning and development
Help create clear progression opportunities within the PCN

We are looking for someone who is:

Confident leader with strong organisational and project management skills
Experienced in working within healthcare or a similar environment
A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Comfortable working with data to support decision-making
Financially aware, with experience managing budgets or resources
Passionate about improving patient care and services

FedBucks is a federation of 45 GP practices covering a population of over 485,000 patients across Buckinghamshire. We began in 2016 and now employ around 200 members of staff across our head office sites, and our primary care and unplanned care services.
