Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and assist with various outdoor maintenance and construction projects. This role involves working in diverse environments to support landscape enhancement, typically driveways, patios, lawns, along etc. We DO NOT undertake garden maintenance.
The successful candidate will contribute to creating and maintaining aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Operating hand tools including spades, rakes, shears, and shovels to carry out gardening and landscaping activities.
- Supporting the use of power tools and machinery such as whackers, cement mixer, stihl saw.
- Assisting with the operation of excavators for digging, trenching, or lifting heavy materials.
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Performing routine site maintenance including debris removal, soil preparation, and surface levelling.
- Supporting construction activities related to landscape projects under supervision.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order through basic troubleshooting and cleaning.
Skills
- Experience in landscaping is necessary.
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain power tools and small machinery safely.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as spades, shears, rakes, and shovels.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while following safety protocols.
