It’s all for better public services. Better processes. And a better quality of life, for everyone. Join us, and Swindon will be better with you.
Your next role
The purpose of this role is to provide fast, accurate and reliable administrative support to the Housing Repairs service. The postholder ensures that repair requests, follow‑on work, contractor information and customer feedback are processed correctly and on time. This includes checking and validating repair details, supporting the invoicing process, preparing statutory gas safety documentation, and maintaining accurate records to keep the service running efficiently.
The role also supports wider operational needs by retrieving information for investigations, handling sensitive tenant data, and providing essential backup processes when electronic systems are unavailable. Working in a busy environment, the postholder manages a high volume of repair activity each week, communicates daily with tradespeople, managers and contractors, and helps maintain smooth service delivery through strong organisation, attention to detail and effective problem‑solving.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).

With your contributions, we’ll achieve our vision of a prosperous, re-vitalised Swindon together. And you’ll be proud to say it was made better with you.
