The Service & Team:
The Assets and Property manage the Council's 23000 acres mixed estate providing day to day FM and estate management and strategic overview through a Corporate Asset Management Plan. The team of 60 people of which 20 are MRICS deliver both a direct management and consultancy support.
Role:
Cornwall Council require a property professional able to support the identification and bringing forward of land for a range of purposes primarily housing, but including employment and renewable energy. The ability to work with planners, legal teams and developers to bring sites forward successfully for delivery. RICS preferred.
Site searches already undertaken has identified in excess of 60 new sites along with an existing portfolio of land opportunities which require assessment and preparation for marketing.
We need an organised professional mind to work alongside the Senior Surveyor Site Lead to review each site identifying issues, resolving or de-risking the sites and preparing them for the market to meet the Council's ambitions linked to housing numbers, growth and renewable energy infrastructure.
This role will primarily focus on Housing sites and the Homes Cornwall branded sites coming from the Council property portfolio.
This position will be subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.

Working Pattern:
This is a full time role working 37 hours per week with flexible working arrangements. Hybrid working is the normal pattern with an expectation of one day per week in the office for collaboration sessions to build programmes of activity and share progress reports
