Full job description

Senior Accountant - Full Time

Key Requirements

Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with TaxCalc, FreeAgent, and QuickBooks.
Core Skills: Expertise in full-cycle accounting, tax computations, and mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications: ACCA or CIMA qualification is highly advantageous (but not essential).

In this role, you will manage a diverse client portfolio, handling everything from year-end accounts and VAT returns to three-year financial projections. Key Responsibilities

Tax & Compliance: Prepare personal, partnership, and company tax computations, VAT returns, and manage month-end/year-end closing procedures.
Financial Planning: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Client Advisory: Identify technical or client-specific issues early and deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions.
Team Development: Mentor junior accountants, review their work, and support their professional growth.

What We Are Looking For

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles (general ledger, financial reporting, AP/AR).
Ability to manage complex accounting tasks accurately within a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, collaborative mindset with a desire to improve delivery methods and workflows.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
