We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join The Cornish Oven Pasty Team.
We are proud makers of the Cornish pasty and feel the time is right to add to the team. We are currently looking for a new member of our pasty production team to assist in the day-to-day activities over here at our main unit.
We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee the efficient running of our pasty production room. This role is critical in ensuring production targets are met and quality standards are maintained. You will play a varied role within the production team having the ability to learn and jump into every aspect around the room to ensure steady production.
We hope that this is a onetime opportunity, as we would like this person to stay on our journey as we grow as a company and take The Cornish Oven pasty to more areas within the county.
This role can be fast paced mixed with heavy lifting at times so experience in manual labour is beneficial
Responsibilities:
· Over-see the daily production routines within the prep room.
· Work closely with the production manager to resolve any production issues and minimise downtime.
· Work with the production manager to lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 16 people.
· To support all roles within the team.
· Assist with stock ordering.
Skills:
· The ability to manage a varied workload.
· Experience of a factory/production environment (preferred but not essential)
· Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
· To have the ability to support a team in a calm and encouraging manner.
· Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
· Hands on approach with a strong work ethic.
· Friendly, approachable and able to lead by example.
Training will be provided along with whites and appropriate PPE.
Job Type: Full Time and Permanent
Pay: £14.50
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 6.00am – 15.15pm
