Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist/Service Advisor to join the team at our family run garage which has been established for over 34 years . The successful applicant will work along side our reception manager & assist them with their duties. Good people skills and I.T. literacy is essential, and a knowledge of car parts is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Assist customers with enquiries, providing detailed information about services offered
Schedule appointments, confirm bookings, and reschedule as necessary to optimise workflow
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history
Coordinate with technicians or service staff to ensure timely completion of work
Keep the reception area tidy, organised, and presentable at all times
Create estimates & order parts via the telephone & using on-line ordering portals

Qualifications

Proven experience in customer service or front-of-house roles preferred
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with automotive systems is advantageous but not essential
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Friendly, professional demeanour with a positive attitude
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
