Carmarthenshire County Council is seeking an exceptional leader to take on the role of Housing Hwb Manager, a key strategic position responsible for shaping and delivering the Council’s approach to homelessness prevention, housing access and temporary accommodation. While planning for the delivery of the ambitions within the Homelessness & Social Housing Allocation (Wales) Act 2026.
About the Role
You will:
Lead the strategic direction and performance of homelessness prevention and housing access services across the Council.
Provide leadership across a multi-disciplinary workforce
Financial and resource management
Lead the Council’s strategic approach to commissioning, contracts and development in homelessness and housing services.
Represent the Council at regional and national level, influencing policy and funding decisions.
About You
We are looking for a senior leader who is passionate about helping people.
You will bring:
Extensive experience in housing, homelessness or related public service leadership.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation and statutory duties, including the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
Proven ability to lead large, complex, multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience of managing significant budgets and funding streams.
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to delivering innovative, customer-focused services
