Full job description

Harlech Foodservice is one of Wales and the Northwest of England’s leading food wholesale and distribution businesses. Operating from our head office in Llanystumdwy and depot sites at Chester, Telford, Aberbargoed, and Carmarthen, we supply a wide range of customers across the region.

The Role

We’re looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our freezer team on days at our Llanystumdwy head office. You’ll play a key part in keeping our freezer operation running smoothly — from receiving incoming stock to ensuring our pick faces are fully replenished and ready to fulfil customer orders accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving and checking incoming frozen goods, verifying deliveries against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies
Putting away stock accurately in designated locations in line with warehouse procedures
Replenishing pick faces throughout the day to ensure product availability for the picking team
Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently to meet daily despatch deadlines
Operating MHE (including reach trucks and pallet trucks) safely and in accordance with current licences and site procedures
Maintaining stock accuracy and supporting regular stock counts and rotation (FIFO)
Working in compliance with food hygiene and cold chain requirements at all times
Keeping the freezer warehouse clean, tidy, and organised, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as required

Counterbalance or reach truck licence advantageous
A strong work ethic with the ability to work accurately at pace
Good attention to detail, particularly around stock accuracy and order fulfilment
A reliable team player who takes pride in doing the job right
