About Secret Creation
We're a specialist e-commerce studio making high-quality personalised gifts in wood, acrylic, ceramic and paper. We're a small, deliberately lean team where every person's work is visible and genuinely matters - what you make each day goes straight into customers' hands. We move fast, keep an immaculate workshop, and we use AI and good systems to stay ahead of much bigger competitors.
The role
This is the engine room, and it moves fast. You'll start by learning the fundamentals - assembly, hand-finishing, quality control, packing and dispatch - because that's the last check before a customer opens their order. From your very first days you'll also begin training on our machinery, the UV printers and laser cutters, so you'll need to be comfortable and confident working with machines. You'll keep a short daily work log - it's how we plan the day, balance the workload and spot bottlenecks early. As your skills build, you'll progress to running the machines independently.
We're hiring two people into the same role so you cover for each other - when one of you is on holiday, the other holds the fort. So we need people happy to turn their hand to whatever the day needs.
A typical day
- Assembling and hand-finishing personalised products in wood, acrylic, ceramic and paper to a high standard
- Packing, labelling and dispatching orders accurately against daily deadlines
- Quality-checking every item before it leaves the building
- Booking in deliveries and keeping stock records accurate in real time
- Keeping your daily work log up to date
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised
Who we're looking for
- Confident with machinery and keen to learn it properly - you'll train on our UV printers and laser cutters from day one, following clear procedures and flagging faults rather than improvising
- Fast on your feet and quick-thinking - you keep the day moving and sort small workflow problems rather than getting stuck
- Reliable, and genuinely happy doing detailed, repetitive hands-on work to a high standard
- A positive, good-natured presence - we share one workshop all day, so being easy to work with matters as much as the work itself
- Comfortable working with structure - daily logs, checklists and clear quality standards are part of how we run
- A team-first, all-hands mindset - we all pitch in wherever the day needs us, from packing orders to unloading deliveries, so you'll learn every corner of the operation
- Wants to grow in production and master the machines - if your heart's set on a design career, this won't be the right fit
- Has a reliable, realistic way to get here every day (see "Getting here")
Nice to have (not essential)
- Hands-on experience in production, packing, print, sign-making, gift-making or e-commerce fulfilment
- Prior experience operating machinery of any kind - we train you, so it's a bonus rather than a must
- Familiarity with design or CAD software (CorelDRAW, Illustrator or similar) - a real bonus for artwork handling and machine setup, as long as hands-on production is where you want to be
- Confident basic PC / order-system skills, and an interest in using AI tools to work smarter
Getting here

One more thing
We have a friendly resident Labrador in the studio, so you'll need to be comfortable around dogs.
