We are seeking a Design Coordinator to join our growing civil engineering team on a full time permanent basis (Monday to Friday).

In this role you will support the Design Manager in coordinating design activities and ensuring the timely delivery of design outputs in line with project programmes. You will liaise with external design consultants and assist in maintaining high standards of quality across all deliverables.
Key responsibilities include supporting the coordination of design information, monitoring progress against programme milestones and engaging with statutory authorities and stakeholders on specific design elements.
You will play an important role in helping ensure that design requirements are clearly communicated and effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
You will gain exposure to a variety of projects across highways, bridges, wind farms and battery storage facilities.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- HND or Civil Engineering Degree
- Problem Solving Skills
The Role (requires):
- Acting on behalf of Wills Bros with our design consultants and the client on design issues.
- Liaison and coordination on Wills Bros behalf with our appointed designers to ensure the design delivery is in accordance with project Contract requirements, specifications, and design standards.
- Ensure that technical reviews and design checks are completed throughout the design process.
- Coordinate with Designers, the completion of design activities, the associated production of design information and the timely release of design deliverables in line with the Contract timeframes.
- Liaison and contribution with the Designers to ensure safe design.
- Administration of design submissions.
- Review and management of technical Non-Conformance Reports or defects.
- Verification of the design in respect of the contract specifications and requirements
- Coordinate the provision of as-built information, the Health and Safety File and Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
(Non-essential) Preferred Requirements:
- 1-2 years post qualification experience
- Interest in ground investigation and earthworks.
- Interest in the properties of materials, material testing, and soil mechanics.
- Familiarity with Civil Engineering Industry.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Good communication skills and ability to clearly communicate key issues to the team.
- Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
